Barstobrick is a walker’s paradise with miles of surfaced paths and rugged routes for the more adventurous rambler. Explore our history and wildlife trails, The Ridge Trail (2.1km) and The Hot Blast Trail (5.5km) which includes the hike to Neilson's monument with stunning panoramic views stretching across the Solway Firth as far as the Lake District in Cumbria and the Isle of Man. Watching the Red Kites soar through the skies is truly inspiring. For the younger visitor why not experience the magic of our Galloway Faerie Trail.
Part of a working farm, at Barstobrick we invite you to explore responsibly, with dogs on leads and leaving gates as they were found. Maps and clue sheets for all our walking trails are available from the club room in the equestrian centre.
Surrounded by beautiful Scottish countryside, the Galloway Forest Park and an amazing expanse of beaches there are many more places to walk.
